Winter at last

After months without rainfall, the SF Bay finally has some wintertime weather. Empty reservoirs, plants, people fearful of summertime water rations, and snow lovers are happy to see the necessary weather, and I'm happy to see some of the local waterfalls finally taking form.

Last weekend I went up to Cataract Falls and snapped a few pictures. Had been quite awhile since I had used my DSLR, and I had enough fun to expect a number of photo shoots in the near future.

It will be interesting to see if the rain will continue, and if it does I'll be sure to get up to Tahoe for powder runs through Freak Valley at Kirkwood... Best case scenario will be rainy weekdays and sunny weekends for driving, snowboarding, mountain biking, and beach volleyball.
